THE DETAILS, MADE CLEAR

Scope, costs and renewals

All Watabe Digital prices are VAT exclusive. These package fees are planning guidance for the stated scope. A written proposal confirms the final fee, responsibilities, delivery capacity, timeline and acceptance tests before work starts.

Project payments & acceptance

Project payment planning: 40% at booking, 40% at the agreed working-delivery milestone and 20% after acceptance. Allow 10 business days for acceptance feedback. Silence does not mean acceptance. Timing starts after the signed scope, payment, required access and usable client inputs.

Monthly terms & renewals

Retainers are billed monthly in advance. SEO starts with a six-month term; marketing, advisory and application care start with three months. After the initial term, continuation is monthly with 30 days’ written cancellation notice. Fees stay unchanged during the initial term; later changes require a new written agreement.

Third-party costs

Hosting/cloud, domains, user and software licences, premium connectors, API/SMS/email/WhatsApp usage, store accounts, advertising spend, stock assets, hardware, specialist contractors and travel are separately scoped and approved. The quote identifies the supplier, currency, renewal cycle and who pays. Client-owned subscriptions are preferred.

Handover & defect correction

Implementation includes documentation, access handover and 30 days of correction for reproducible defects in the accepted scope. New features, new datasets, changed third-party APIs and continuing maintenance need a separate scope. Deliverable ownership is set out in the signed agreement and applicable licence terms.

Build limits & dependencies

Transaction volumes, concurrent users, data volumes, devices and availability needs are agreed before accepting a build fee. A screen is a distinct functional screen; a workflow is a defined trigger-to-completion process. Standard connectors require supported access and appropriate licences.

Delivery allowance & extra work

All retainer meetings, reviews, reports, maintenance and listed outputs fit within the agreed delivery allowance. Unused hours do not roll over. Extra work and scope changes need a written quote. No automatic overage is charged.

Support coverage

Working hours and response targets are agreed with the delivery owner before sale. No package promises 24/7 cover, guaranteed uptime or a dedicated employee. Existing third-party applications need a separately scoped onboarding assessment before application care; supported systems must pass handover and health review.

Credit for shared work

Accepted recent discovery or setup work is reused where suitable. Shared work is identified and credited in a combined quote, so the same deliverable is not charged twice. Review work from the preceding 90 days for reuse.

Transparent starting points

Choose the engagement closest to your priority.

All Watabe Digital prices are VAT exclusive. These figures and scope labels are planning guidance, not fixed quotations. Final investment follows discovery, requirements, integrations, risk and delivery timing.

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before you decide.

What determines the cost of a digital project in Tanzania?

Cost depends on the users, workflows, integrations, data migration, security controls, content, reporting, hosting, training, support and evidence required for acceptance.

Does Watabe provide fixed-price proposals?

A fixed price is practical when scope and acceptance criteria are clear. Discovery-led, phased or support arrangements are used when important requirements remain uncertain.

What should a useful budget brief include?

Include the intended outcome, current process or platform, users, integrations, deadline, procurement requirements, available content or data and the budget range already approved.
